Is Carrie Bradshaw ethical?

I couldn't help but wonder...

Very little time to write today, so it will be a quick one just to share my jumping-up-and-down-clapping excitement: I am off to watch the premiere of Sex and The City 2.

I am encouraged by what I've been reading about the film: sensitive to global recession pockets, the ladies wear a lot of last season and upcycled outfits. I'm not sure what upcycled means in super rich Manhattan terms, but I shall report back on Monday.

Now if you excuse me, I must google Organic Cosmos.

(You're a McDougall now, Charlotte!)

  1. Definition of upcycled please! I'm worried that Kathryn seems to be using more cutting-edge fashion jargon than me. Not that I would know where to begin with cutting-edge fashion jargon, but it was always a comfort that no matter how little I knew, our Kathryn probably knew just a little less. This is turning my sense of identity upside down! Glossary of cool terms needed so I can keep up pls.

  2. Fear not, Anne, your avant-garde fashionista status remains undisputed.
Look at upcycling this way: an upcycled dress is an old dress that has been given a new lease of life by the fashion fairy.
We love your glossary idea and will be introducing it to the blog soon.
In the meantime, you can quench your sustainability lexicon thirst here:
